In MY very own, humble, opinion, Romain is on par with Kollias
-
@Bultjaevel Sorry i dont think so ... kollias cant be never defeated
-
Quelle beauté!

@andresitox666 ....

@Bultjaevel George is an incredible drummer, I don't think you can compare them really. Maybe Romain has more coordination and control but Kollias is faster and has more endurance, plus each of them has his own style...
-
Thumbs up if you think Romain beats Kollias any day!

14 People didnt like the fact that they will never be that good

@andresitox666 Actually, you can hear the triggers quite clearly in the beginning of the second part. When the small window disappears, check the top of his bass drum, there's a ddrum trigger.

@bzuco2 Ha1ha! tell your friend he has no brain! And romain does use triggers, he uses the same technique that daniel enlarsdon uses-Live sound and triggers mixed to create a more stable sound to mask the overall trigger and low noise effect.

The ankles method Romain is using is the only way I have found to hit at a decent volume when playing 250 or anything around it.
Hitting lightly with triggers to get up to 270 isn't what I would consider cheating, because very very few humans can actually do it acoustic and loud enough at those speeds.
I think many drummers that use triggers could play acoustic, they just don't really care since triggers sound so awesome on a recording or live.
