fifteen grand just for a lower receiver with an auto fire selector seems crazy. i see colt m16a1's selling for $15k-$16k & that includes a well maintained original upper & bolt carrier group. maybe you are expecting to much money. i thought maybe i could get a lower by itself cheaper & put a upper on it from another rifle. you need to put a colt upper on it.

why wear out the colt upper, when he used a cheap $400 upper to play around with. expecting to much, lol, the 15K was an offer and he is not selling. The lower is the only part they can not make any more since '86, It's what costs the most they rest is under 1k . If you want to go cheap buy a 8k Lightning Link

so you put an m4 upper receiver on a full auto lower receiver? how much did the lower cost?

Well, my friend bought it for $5k, but it would sell for $15k+ now. It has a short barrel upper (11.5in) in the Video, he also has many other uppers, that can be used with the Full Auto lower.

sure you weren't just bump firing your ar-15 buddy? it's definitely not a colt m4 because the sling attachment was on the underside of the barrel instead of on the left side. this guy is bump firing an ar-15 & calling it an m4.

Ok M4's 1st where made in '94, so since we can only own pre '86 full Autos, Yes it's not a real M4. It is a Class III $200 tax stamped M16 lower with a telescoping stock. Since the M4 is just a variant of the M16A2, it's as close as we can get.

i think i will just remain happy with my ar-15's instead of spending 8k. i would rather alter the fire selector & run the risk of being caught in illegal position of an auto before i paid 8k but i dont want it that bad to take the risk. i shoot my colt carbine all the time but its not wearing it out. i have fired 800+ rounds through it & not one jam. if you clean your rifle, lubricate your rifle, use brass ammo, & use magazines proven to feed correctly these rifles fire flawless.

other people who post on youtube who have never fired ar-15/m16/m4 say they jam & talk about how great ak-47's are even though they never fired them either. almost all jams are caused by faulty magazines & i am not saying ak-47's aren't good but i just like ar-15's better. they are definitely more accurate & easier to control on the recoil. i also meant to say "possesion" in place of where i said "position" in my last post.

so if the m16 can shoot 5530m that converted to yard is about 6050...and 6050 yards converted to miles is around 3.5 miles? is this correct? can the M16 shoot 3.5 miles?
