Rival Battle from Pokemon G/S/C (Mario Paint)

Sixtieth video. I said that I would be doing all the battle themes in the second generation of pokemon games; after a long hiatus due to other pieces, a contest (!), and lack of available time, I've finally been able to continue. This is the eighth of ten battles which plays when fighting the red-haired, thieving rival.

This Rival (default name: Silver/Gold, the opposite of which version you have) is unlike any other in that he's neither a friend nor a relative of another character. The rival is an independent, lawless outcast. Yet he doesn't belong to Team Rocket either; he thinks that everyone is weak except himself. Few characters talk about the rival, with the notable exception of the two from whom he stole pokemon and the Elder of the Sprout Tower, who concedes that the Rival has great potential but laments the Rival's caustic attitude toward his pokemon. Be that as it may, this theme is the rival's battle music.

It's been a little while since I used the original soundset, and this video is somewhat of a return to basics. Because I took heed of subtle dynamic differences in the original track, the Composer tempo is 1535. Hope you enjoy!

is this the ordinary rival battle theme? or is this the special one when you fight him for the last time in mt. silver? y'know, where when you beat him, the games says you beat it? like if you beat the elite 4?

You're referring to Red, the character that resembles the player in Red/Blue/Yellow. Red's battle theme is the same as Lance's, which I have also done (as a response to this video)

This is Mario Paint Composer v2 with more features and four extra instruments. They made it pink for some reason. *shrugs*

@CatrionaMM-I know! But sometimes Krys has brown hair and it's really dark brown! These hopeless nostalgics don't even pay attention to manga details! Really....Sometimes I just do not understand... But Marina is a different deal altogether.
