Harambee Stars, the national soccer outfit returned to the country following one of the most embarrassing outings in recent soccer history. After losing to the lowly ranked tiny nation of Guinea Bissau, Harambee Stars landed in Nairobi Wednesdaymorning with a bag of excuses that include a claim by one of the officials that key players had differences on the pitch. But the man who should explain it all retained the all too familiar straight-face ; Twahir Muhiddin sees nothing big in the happenings in Guinea Bissau and is not even contemplating resignation. And as NTV's Watson Karuma reports, the indifference of the officials and particularly coach Twahir Muhiddin will certainly line up the Harambee Stars for the next sure defeat.

  • Lots of talented players and a whole bunch of no-good idiots running the football administration and coaching. It doesn't take a genius to know why the team performs dismally.

  • Without Oliech that team is dead. Fact he scores the only goals for harambee his actions are louder than words. I challenge those other players to score goals to.

  • OLIECH MUST GO!...... TWAHIR MUST GO TOO! ...... FKL MUST GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO KABISA!

  • Wacha porojo, Muhiddin. Wasema nini baba? Haki I'm loving the Kiswahili - he's making excuses but sounds more like he's singing Tarabu..... I'm sure that if they recruited Messi or C. Ronaldo they would still get beaten by Guinea Bissau or Lesotho or Somalia. The problems facing the team are truly enigmatic - is it leadership, coaching, funding, talent, lack of support? I'm stumped.

  • Hahaha, Kenyans like whining all the time. You remember how we vilified Antoine Hey? Asiekubali kushindawa....playing away match is never easy for any team Harambee stars included. Let us congratulate our boys and move on to the next game.

  • @karuitha yeah we need Francis Kimanzi!!..he did a better job last time!

  • What they are saying is bullshit!..We don't their excuses!..we all the management team of KFF and FKL to go!..Oliech has to show some respect!how can he miss training be the captain??? its not bcoz he earns alot of money abroad that he thinks he is the best and can wherever he wants!..by the way he can b kicked out of the team next time..some other players from other countries are praying n working hard to b included in the national team and these fellows are taking us for a ride!?..

  • drop Oliech, he's been the problem for a long time.

  • We spend a lot of money propping this failure, lets use all this cash to construct training facilities for athletics and other games like rugby and cricket where we have good results albeit low investment.

  • Muhiddin is my distant uncle but he should really go. He failed to instill discipline letting oliech not train then giving him the captain's band. This created divisions in the team and this fiasco. Oliech is not harambee stars. He doesnt show respect for the country's colours and does therefore not deserve to wear them. Govt should overhaul FKL KFF, kenyans will be behind the move whatever the corrupt FIFA does.
