Great interview, and I agree with most everyone on here - Michael Steele was truly amazing in the Bangles. It's not The Bangles w/o her.

- Every Bangles fan knew that each girl sang lead on certain songs, I never considered Susanna as THE lead singer because they all contributed their musical talents. You probably think they were marketed as Susanna and Those Other Girls because most of the hit singles released were sung by Susanna (Manic Monday, If She Knew What She Wants, Eternal Flame and In Your Room, among others).

This is fascinating. You can already see Michael is like the caged cat, ready to bolt at any minute. :( And the interviewer actually tries to get into the whole Bangles-breaking-up saga. Did Susanna really try to convince Vicki to reunite ever since, like, 1993?? And to see Vicki say she was still hurt over how her creative input had been severely diminished in the late 80s. Yeah, we all know that, seeing as how the band was marketed as Susanna and Those Other Girls, but still. Wow.
