As for this part of the run itself? I thought it was clean - after ~20 attempts at clearing Extra I would have been bound to have known how to deal with a good chunk of things.

However, I did get too careless during the miniboss' second spellcard attack and I see that was a silly error that could have been easily avoided. Oops.


Also, I'll have to thank the below video on giving me some ideas on clearing some spellcards I had trouble with in previous attempts on the stage...

"What is this game and where can I get it?"
As the title says, this is Touhou 10 - the 10th game in a series of games just like this, all made by one guy since the 6th(which I find impressive). If you're interested in finding out more, you can read up more on the series via the following link:

"Why aren't you dying more? I saw bullets hit you!"
Touhou has been known for a while as a "bullet hell" vertical scrolling shooter. What this means is that the screen is often littered with bullets, but only a small portion of the character's sprite is open to attack.

If anything hits that small portion(a white circle on the middle of the character - you'll see it when the orbs come closer to my character), you die. Aside from that, any other collisions are not counted as hits against you, but rather as "grazing" the bullets.


"What did you use to record this?"
Hypercam to record with DivX compression. I would've actually loved to have put up the full 14 minute video in one chunk, but Youtube wouldn't let me.


"What are you playing this game with?"
In this run in particular, I'm using a wireless XBox 360 controller with a USB Wireless adaptor. I believe you can get the wireless adaptors at most electronic/gaming stores nowadays.

In this case, I recommend using Reimu's homing shot. This allows you to focus more on dodging rather than hitting the enemies, something I abused here.... If I remember right this was roughly my second or third day playing Mountain of Faith when I uploaded this video.

In an unknown situation in a shmup(any one), it's best to focus on survival most of the time, moreso than grabbing powerups or killing enemies. You can't win if you're dead, after all.

Same as all the other Touhou games - clear Normal difficulty or higher without a continue.

just type down d3dx9_31.dll on google and find a download link for it

then put it in the game folder

now understand lazy bones

@classicgamerguy112 Download something called Direct x ( you can find it through google) and after you install it you should be able to play all the games. Hope that helped!
