This technology is a proprietary electronic control mechanism and software for step motors that provides Fastech stepper motors with a very high degree of precision, reliability and torque. The software is based on digital signal performance (DSP) that provides precise motion control at a micro level. It resets the step motor every 25 microseconds.

Key distinguishing capabilities enabled by their motor controller are:

1. 3x more precise than step motors currently on the market. Capable of positioning the rotary to support up to 32,000 ppr.

2. Closed loop system enables the driver to monitor the integrated motor continuously every 25 microseconds and to correct itself upon recognizing any errors.

3. Capable of 2x the torque of a servo motor at low speeds ranging between 1000-1500 rpm.

4. Gain tuning each time a step motor stops and restarts, it requires tuning. Fastech automatically tunes itself.

5. Perform up to 3000 rpm.

6. No hunting. Minimizes vibration and is generally smoother and faster.




These technical advances enable use of step motors in some market niches traditionally considered the purview of servo motors. In particular, for applications where very fast and very precise motions covering short distances are specified, Fastechs electronically controlled stepper motor may be superior to servo motors.
