Footage of the Hastings And White Rock Trust protest march in support of Hastings Pier held on October 17th 2009. As a lover of the pier myself and 'youtube champion' of the cause to save her, I decided to not just take part but take some footage to 'spread the word' and help the issue reach as wide an audience as possible. These video's may be a bit 'piecemeal' but I hope they convey to you what a good natured yet determined event this was.
Please don't encourage McLean by calling him "Lord". I don't much care for dignitory either to describe mere councillors.

You beat me with your posting. Well done.
You actually managed to get my wife in this video, during the early stages :)

Well done. Love the way you captured the reality of it - the positive feeling - whereas sadly the BBC went and spoke to Kevin Boorman (HBC's official spokesman) who put the dampners on again. He keeps going on about £17 million. He knows it won't cost that and that the Trust is not asking the Council for money - just for the Compulsory Purchase so we can raise the money we need - £4m to restore and reopen the Apron. Profits from the apron will be reinvested in restoring the rest of the pier.
