I am posting this in the hopes that people can critique my singing before I film my actual Hogwarts Choir audition.

I think that "Part of Your World" is the best song choice for me because I was always a Soprano in choir. I know I have to work on remembering the lyrics better. Mainly I want to know if my pitch is good and if you have any suggestions for specific parts of the song I really need to work on before my actual audition.

  • Wonderful hun. Try practicing without the ea rbud though cause it distracts you I know its reminding you of the lyrics and whatnot but it makes you try and match and harmonize which can make you not hit the notes the way that is natural for you.

  • @shinigamihaku That is a good idea. I noticed myself singing it randomly throughout the day after practicing this and I do sing differently without the earbuds. I tried to sing it along with just the instrumentals but the pacing is wrong on the music video they gave a link to. I didn't even think of singing without music at all to pace me, so out of practice that is silly

  • I didn't know you could sing, wow!

  • @Gypsisher47 lol. Thanks. I did 3 years of choir back in High School but I am seriously out of practice now.

  • Wow, that was awesome Brittany!! Maybe watch some of your consonants especially at the ends of words, it makes the lyrics less clear

When you hit "stand" you were a bit flat but you did get to the right note at the end.

The beginning seemed a bit harsh, like you were spitting out words, which I'm not sure fits the character.

Your pitching was really great and your tone is beautiful! Absolutely lovely!

  • @captainbuttons Thanks Nia. It has been forever since I sang for anything other than my own enjoyment and I really needed an outside opinion to get me on track.
