@freejazzfree (cont) But given that, I think the promotion of the ballastexistenz view may or may not be an intrinsic consequence of h-g organization. The rest of Fungal's arguments (destruction of assistive technology etc) I unequivocally agree with.
Honestly I find a-p to be as ludicrous as its opposite of transhumanism (technology as inherently good without considering environmental problems).
(my comments are not an entry into a dumb internet argument, but a clarification of facts.)
@freejazzfree (cont) Which might make it sound like a strawman, but it's not.
I should note, people who work with disabled people tend to be our worst abusers (there is an abundance of evidence but YT doesn't allow links IIRC. nonetheless, it can be found online or even colloquially).
Now, archaeological evidence suggests there was some inclusion of disabled people into hunter-gatherer society 500,000 years ago, but there's not enough to go on to say how good or bad this inclusion was. (cont)
@freejazzfree wait but primitivism/anti-civ (or at least the form I'm familiar with), advocating to go to a state humans abandoned 10,000 years ago, is reactionary (being neutrally descriptive here, though I personally am very critical of primmos)...
Your comment doesn't refute anything FungalSheep said though! It's not an issue of specific statements made about disability, it's an issue of the consequences of implementing a-p. (cont)
@FungalSheep well he doesnt advocate outright killing.. these things seem mostly assumed - 'outright killing','burden' arent actually advocated or said..
obvs even 'hunter gatherer' is more ideology than reality; in reality the most anyone could claim is social or natural anarchist. regardless i think its reactionary at best to demonize.. (and i claim no ties to the ideology, merely what it proposes in opposition to the evils of 'civ')
@freejazzfree 'Working with' atypically bodied/minded people, stopping short of advocating outright killing, and 'attempting' to acknowledge 'difficulties' is a pretty weak excuse for advocating the destruction of assistive technologies and the capacity to produce sizable economic surplus to support people who hunter-gatherer groups would consider a 'burden'.
**has attempted to acknowledge difficulties with those who rely on civ for support but never stated that any of these people were to be exterminated, which is obviously ridiculous
***there is no eugenics policy in a.p. as far as i can see.. i'd be curious to hear why
Right on- In capitalism, the worker sells his labor-power, and the labor-power of of a worker whose body and mind fit the needs of capital is worth a lot more. Employers are loathe to make accommodations. The economy is not built around the needs of the workers or even the consumer, but around the needs of capital. Disabled workers are less profitable, and producing for disabled without buying power is less profitable.
Very good; I'm posting this to the Freak Liberation Front.
there is no archaic revival.

@CrawdaddyJoe it's really weird how most people think "fascist" is the same thing as "wanker" or other general insults......
