It wasn't written by rufarse wainwright. It was written and only ever sang with any passion by Leonard Cohen. Please don't accredit Rufus Arsewipe with writting the excellent song.

Sorry but too many covers by people that sound like they are reading a restaurant menu, if you hear early versions of Leonard Cohen singing this song you will know it had some true passion attached to the poem.
