for a kid that age i would think 10mph is plenty fast enough.
if they are sinking it's too slow so back off till they start to sink then increase speed just a little to keep them planning. it's possible your wont won't like this speed as it may be between sinking and planning itself, if this is the case change boats or concentrate when you drive to keep speed constant by making constant adjustments to the throttle. when people are learning to ski it's 2/3 driver error 1/3 skier error. good luck

Thanks, Shibby. That's much more helpful. That 3-yr-old is now 5 and still loves skiing, but we've got a 4-yr-old and a 2-yr-old. This will be extremely helpful to them.

hey i;ve been teaching kids to ski all over the world for years and from what i just say it looks ike you guys are trying to kill your kid. there is no need to go so fast, you're lucky the kid goes anywhere near your boat after that. slow the f down!
this is one video i won't show my 4 yr old.

I'm not sure how fast is too fast. I'm pretty confident that the boat was about 10-15 mph. Could you offer some suggestion as to the best way to ski kids? Some constructive criticism as to rpm and mph would be extremely helpful instead of implied cursing. Thanks.
