Because of our climate here in the northern Rocky Mountains, we have to feed hay to our horses from November through May. That means buying a lot of hay each year -- 125 tons. Our next-door neighbor grows the hay for us, and this video shows how the hay is brought over and stacked in our hay barn ... six tons in each wagon load. It's much easier doing it this way than stacking by hand!

  • Ok people talking about stacking by hand, i will agree that it is a good technique, however, this ranch has over 80 animals and hundreds of acres to take care of, that fact has to be taken into consideration....

  • I'm sure they have much better things to do than stack 125 tons of hay by hand.

  • @cadetlilcookie each bale is no where near a ton. its about 100lbs. if its hay. straw is about 30-50.

  • I stack hay by hand, and it sucks ass... nuff said

  • I stack by hay, and the only thing i see wrong with this is how it piles it, its not a very sturdy stacking job but seems like an amazing tool

  • Genius!!!

  • We do not have it that easy here.

  • @FMorales40 they unload 125 tons it would take clountless hours or days

  • @KarlyyMiracle plus it would take hours or even days

  • I've operated one of these.

They are amazing because of the mechanical genius that's gone into their design.

Small bales or big bales, makes gathering a one man Job.

    Get's er Done!

  • how much do you use in one day. and if im right each bale is about a ton right

  • Oh, now that's cool! It sure beats having to stack by hand like we used to do years ago.

You guys do great and important work there at RDR. Thank you!
