Riding the nice passenger elevators at 1301 Taylor St. office building of Palmetto Health Baptist in Columbia, SC. The indicator resembles an Otis bell and the directional indicator lights up green for up and red for down.

  • That's wierd, why does the bell ring once when it goes down?

  • It dinged twice, I was talking during the first ding.

  • The Down Button On 1 Was A Key Because B Is Locked.

  • Actually, I just figured out that it was just closed off at that time. It is not a restricted area. I went back to the place for retakes and B was open.

  • I've also seen a Dover with the Otis beeping, it's nice to see another one!

  • Are there bumpers or infrared sensors?

  • Never heard that floor pasiing chime on a dover elevator. Better than the buzz.

  • Very rare and impractical to go more than eight floors. The only time I've seen a hydro that goes more than 8 is at the W Hotel in Atlanta which was put in for architectural reasons.
