Hmm, he reminds me of a young Bob Dylan :). I like it a lot.

the only thing any of you fools arguing about elephants and god should worry about is living and loving everyone, even those you hate, i've had quite a life, USMC, Private Military Contractor, bodyguard, i've been shot and killed others too, in all that i've realized loving everyone, even those you hate or must hurt and kill, that is a damn good way to live, be a Jew, Buddhist, Shinto, be whatever makes your world go round dont try to convert others, take it from a war dog everyone dies the same

science laws don't prove anything about God the way they can about elephants not being able to fly. God is an etirely different type of being. He is outside of all the laws He has created. He is God. if He were bound to the laws of science then science would be greater than Him and so science would basicly be God. there's no equation or anything that is gonna show u who God is or whatever else. all the things He's created are proof of His existance but people aren't willing to accept them

If god is so ineffable and unknowable then why are you so certain of his existence. If he is so fantastically complex that no one is able to comprehend his being then doesn't that make any form of religion inherently arrogant, why would you assume you are right?

Science may not be able to disprove the existence of a creator god but surely given the vast number of different beliefs on the subject you can logically assume that you are most likely wrong.I mean what do you know that no one else does?

i don't know something that no one else does. the ability to come to God is available to everyone. many just choose not to. God isn't hiding from anyone. and He's not going to make the knowledge we can have about Him beyond our means of understanding. He is very complex and beyond us... but He knows our limitations - and He has given us much to know of Himself through His written word. and i didn't say He is unknowable. but many people don't accept the knowledge He has provided.

Islam also has a dusty old book that was written hundreds of years after the events it claims to be about. It also speaks of Jesus but not as the son of god, he is a prophet and the precursor of Muhammad.

My issue with religion is not your belief in the word of god, it's your belief that the version of the word of god you have randomly decided to believe is the correct one, and you base all your actions on someone elses interpretation of what someone else said.

well i didn't randomly choose. and i can't make u believe anything. and that wasn't my purpose for replying either. i was just saying that guy shouldn't rule out God because he doesn't feel like he can prove His existance with science. there's a lot of things in the world that exist that we can't see. and a lot that we don't have very good explanation for. but again... those things are finite. God is different altogether.

there's a lot of faith that goes into other things also. there's a lot science can tell us about things but also a lot that it can't. i think we've been misled into thinking that science can answer everything or give us more understanding about things than it can. and many of the things we all repeat about science we don't understand ourselves. we read about them and take them as truth because some guy said that's what he found. no matter what u have to take trust someone's word eventually
