if you listened, the kids were volunteers and knew what was going on. it was a training drill for the cops. they were not training or terrorizing the kids.

Police shoot first and ask questions later in this kind of situation. If this were real life situation, there would be more dead students because the cops will not (be able to) distinguish the shooter from an innocent.
