dont you have to first clean the rice with water before cooking it? i see asian people first rinse the rice several times before adding water and cooking...i think without rinsing the rice first, its harmful to eat it?

@wlaux9 Yes. I should if the rice is dirty. But this rice is washed when bought, so I trust it clean.

i wont lie i tried to steam rice when i moved into my college apt, and i burned the bottom of it. Then i made the mistake of putting more water in over and over, but that only made it sticky. But I'm definitely taking my laptop in the kitchen and watching this video when i try again.

Let me know the result. I still manage to make it wrong. Usually when we have guests, the rice comes out either burnt or too mooshi.

I usually have the rice at the bottom very dry or burnt. I either make it into soup or sizzling rice.
