America's wealthiest could learn a thing or two from a nation across the pond. In my Daily Take - I'll tell you why the wealthiest in France DIDN'T need a memo from Warren Buffett to do the right thing for their country!
i think he was naive .. but not lacking leadership skills.. republicans lied to his face every time they talked in the back without cameras.. now he has learned and will grow from it .. like i said he CANNOT doit alone he needs support.. this isnt a fary tale where for some reason he will do all the right moves when the top 1% have 30% of the wealth of the usa and control media
They probably give a lot to charity... class, in France, is more important than greed.
Americans, wear their greed with pride. American elite would watch their country burn while they kiss the ass of the Chinese government. Traitors all of them.
The French millionnaires had huge tax cuts since Sarkozy (he's our Thatcher) is in office (2007) and they will have another tax cut next year with the end of the special tax on rich people (ISF). French average people are very angry about that, so, some rich guys issued that open letter. The new rich tax will raise only about 200 millions euros when the old tax rose more than 1.5 billion...
If these millionaires and billionaires are so loving and giving...
Then why don't they give, and give and give til it feels so good.?
I'll tell ya. The mill/bill pushing this agenda already have not-for-profit and "charitable" organizations set-up to funnel away their money into pet projects and NOT HAVE TO PAY the increased taxes.
What they are trying to do is target their competition. If their peers are extra-taxed but they escape it... all the more power for them right?
@cbinsyd Capitalism brought more people out of poverty than any other system. So it works fine, unless you are lazy or dumb.

The French billionaires aren't Ayn Rand fanboys.
The American aristocracy fancy themselves as an army of John Galts.

The rich in France are patriots and care about their country and citizens, unlike in US who are all profit.
Warren Buffet is the only sane rich person in this country who cares.
Show me high taxes caused the rich in France to go overseas?
