They're not so God Damn cute at 3:00am when you wake up and your house smells like they're in bed with you and you're about to throw up and you have to be at work in 3 hours with no sleep. Has happened to me so many times in the last two years I hater the little bastards.

And no,we don't have any dogs upsetting them.

@Kurt2424 : Agreed! When you remove a skunk's scent gland you are removing its only means of self-defense. You must care for it for the rest of its life. Releasing it back into the wild would pretty much ensure its death. As cute as they are, I'm against keeping a wild animal as a pet except in extreme circumstances.

only skunk you can get in the uk is for smoking, shame, they look like better pets than cats,we got badgers here but can't keep those as pets, wierd law really as bringing up a badger from a baby would probably give it a better life than being eaten by a dog or run over which is about the only time you ever see them, i wouldn't mind a pet squirrel as well

@c0al Spaying skunks easily doubles their life span because of the stress they are under when they are in heat. Scent gland removal is probably not really necessary for a pet skunk, as skunks will only spray if they feel they are in a life and death situation, but it doesn't hurt them and is probably for the best since it can be done during the spay / neuter operation.
