Antony .. i think you make a awsome work with all this investigation! Its so awsome to see how many things you can learn form a culture of that time ... have you ever think on translating the books in other language??? Maybe in Spanish?
Keep the good work

@TSOAS2008 Please stop putting words in people's mouths. I never claimed that shinobi no mono were the ONLY warriors utilizing shuriken. Additionally, you're dead-wrong on your claim that ALL samurai used this weapon. Do some more research!
About my Yoshimori book, unlike you, Mr. Cummins, I do my research thoroughly rather than just pump all kinds of crap out there solely to try and make a name for myself. I actually care about the research. Like I said before, please don't contact me again!

Will do. In the meantime, can you please send me a list of the 50 hidensho titles you have checked thus far so I may cross-reference these with my list of hidensho collections from the various libraries and museums here in Japan? Then I can narrow it down more, or point out if Minami-san may have missed something somewhere. Just send me an email - you have the address.

Hey, Ant!
Nice video, thanks for sharing it with us all.
With regard to your comment in the video about shuriken not being mentioned in the various ninjutsu no hidensho, this is not correct and I believe it is because you are only looking at it from knowledge of the Sandai Hidensho, the Gunpô Jiyôshu and the Yoshimori Hyakushu. There are, however, other hidensho that speak of shuriken; the Iga-ryû Ninjutsu Inka no Maki being one of these.
Just a note. Hope it'll benefit your research.

@Jiraiyasamataaa did you find the Shuriken in ANY of your manuals?
TSOAS2008 4 months ago
@TSOAS2008 Yes, in three different ninjutsu no hidensho so far...

@Jiraiyasamataaa thats great, you may be able to prove a link to ninja and throwing stars (even though it is redundent as all samurai used them in some form so my point will always stand) however if you have found a real manual with it in which is historically correct, good. Looking forward to the article/book/paper/video etc. Still waiting for your poem book. why is that not out?
