I'm not a fan of Editors myself, but they are a 'post-punk' band (even though the true meaning of that term has been lost these days) and there is supposed to be that icy detachment in post punk music...So I'm told.

I think Editors have done well, this song is a difficult song to cover.

it was a little contradictory to say the editors are generic and then go on to say the singers voice is ridiculous. Saying something is ridiculous entails that it is irregular or different..not generic. This cover is definately not generic. I find it pretty creative..if you want to hear generic check out goldfingers cover of just like heaven.
