"Wait wait Don't! I'm Ben's Daughter... I'm his daughter!!!"

So, after having been convinced by Ben to go to the temple.. Danielle, Alex and Karl are on their way, but they stop to take a quick break in the jungle... when all of a sudden, the unexpected happens and two of them end up being shot....
One is definitely dead, while the fate of the other is unknown...
Alex is unharmed and in desperation for her own life, she quickly reveals her relationship to the infamous Benjamin Linus...
Well, now that episode 9 has aired, we all know who fired the gun and the fate of Alex.

@gecomaman She wasn't as major as that statement of yours connotes.

The character had served her purpose, and ultimately they decided that these characters were expendable at that point in the series.

And we all know that it wasn't the last we ever saw of Rousseau...

@WYJAFAK2 the writers fucked up that scene. rousseau was a mojor character in season 1 and they just killed her off quikley without any major build up.

I can't believe Danielle died so quick. I mean I know it shows realism in how people can just die from a gunshot and ambush but still, she survived like 16 years on the island by herself, its hard to see her go just like that after all shes been through to survive being there.

Why is it in Lost, the moment someone smiles or has a bit of a happy moment, you can immediately single them out for instant death? Poor Karl. Poor Danielle. Poor Alex too.
