@jlcjcdc You need a castle or town to get constable, who has the option to recruit & train troops, with money from the Treasury (which you get with village/castle/town).

I have a question. If you lend someone your companion in my case nizar to a in the nords for example and your a vassal for the nords and you go rouge do you get him back?

@devyn659 the companion is only on loan for a week or so, and will return after two weeks even if you don't go ask for him/her back. I'm guessing that companion will return normally, but you can't go and collect the reward for the "quest", at least if at war against Nords in this case.

Ahhh Horse Archery doesn't help him since you can't use the crossbow while mounted :3

@PhilyEcono Not entirely correct. Heavy and Siege Crossbows cannot be used, but Hunting Crossbow and (normal) Crossbow can be used on horseback just fine.
