On their sixth studio album, the band My Morning Jacket is bringing it all back home. Recorded in their hometown of Louisville, Ky., "Circuital" is full of the spacey Southern rock on which the group built its reputation. Frontman and chief songwriter Jim James stops by to tell us about the new album --and why moving forward sometimes means circling back.

  • I have been lost in music...meaning I have stuck to like psychedelic jam band grateful dead stuff and ya know reggae. .and some 90s stuff like Pearl jam and you know drum music like djembes and darbukas but I had no faith in today's music but my morning jacket and the sheepdogs are starting to change my mind

  • I wanna touch his hair... it looks soft

  • @awbg23- You do realize that playing the same style of music and playing the same music are not the same things right? "This guy" is a professional musician who has fused rock and electronica in ways largely unseen until then, has become very successful making albums instead of releasing singles, and his band is regarded as one of the premier live acts of today. So I think he knows a whole lot more about it than you. fuck off small-brain.
