Jimmie Rodgers, the first inductee into the country music hall of fame-the man who started it all, sings 99 Years Blues. Recorded for Victor Records in Dallas, February 4, 1932.
@Corrie121 Did ya know he actually spent time with Muddy Waters several times while passing through Miss, he taught Muddy alot about the guitar and how to look for a good one. He also taught him how to bend the strings and not loose tuning. muddy spoke of him often in interviews.

Great post. Jimmy Rodgers story fascinates me. He really was an incredible man, singing right up to his dying day.
I love all his recordings and this one is no exception.
Thank you for sharing.
