Good piece. We could accelerate the process of making it easier to do good than it is to do bad by using the way we account for money to connect the ecosystem and the economy in a positive way rather than the current destructive way. The assumption that the Earth's resources and services were abundant enough to be treated as inexhaustible and, therefore, free to use may have worked with a population of few hundred million but it cannot work with current population levels.

Yes absolutely. Sustainable procurement is core to this as there are a number of very high quality tools now available that enable things like the impact on local economy, social return on investment, carbon foot printing, ecological foot printing etc to be measured and factored into the decision making frameworks.
