@exenrontexas There are only 2 corporations in the world capable of doing what Halliburton does. They get hired, because they are good, and bid low. Clinton/ Gore hired them, no- bid also, because they perform. Halliburton presently works in over 70 countries.

@luvcheney1 I already warned you never to use the actions of one man or one president to excuse the crimes of another. Awarding no bid contracts to ANYONE is wrong, done by ANYONE. It is particularly odious when it happens to be to the company that the VP who championed the war was CEO of. Even worse, Bush 41 is an employee of the Carlyle Group which makes BILLIONS from the suffering and death of mankind. There are also indictments against Halliburton for murdering American GIs.

@exenrontexas I dont blame Obama for the crisis now, I was MOCKING you, because you either ignore the recession formed before Bush took office, or are unaware of it. Either way, your a dolt. In 1997, Clinton/ Gore Admin also awarded no- bid contract to Halliburton, while Cheney running it. Why? Because they were already in the Balkans helping the US effort, and had won bidding earlier, and are always competitive, and did a good job. Unless you think Clinton likes giving money away to Cheney?

Part of the business cycle which you sadly are unaware of is the fact that after every war the US has fought and ESPECIALLY after the BUSH wars where he FAILED to raise taxes to actually PAY for his blunder, America has had a major recession and the BUSH wars are the longest and most expensive wars that America has EVER FOUGHT. Probably because of all the NO BID contract to Halliburton

@exenrontexas I get it now. You want to blame Bush for the Dot Com Bubble bursting, recession forming even before Bush came into office! With that logic, I now see the crash of Sept 2008, was because the investment community thought Obama could be elected? The Nasdaq had collapsed from interday high of $5132, March 10, 2000 to $3387 on Nov1, 2000, before Bush elected. Loss of 34% in less than 8 months. Have you ever heard of the "business cycle"? Its always existed, up and down, up and down.

What it IS about is who can be paid for production and exploration and who gets to SELL it to the rest of the world. @luvcheney1 But what you FAILED to mention which is ALSO common knowledge is that Clinton was NOT running for re-election and there was a chance, even though slim one, that BUSH would win the election which, of course, he FAILED to do unless you count the ONE VOTE margin in the SCOTUS. With ANY Bush have ANY possibility of gaining the White House, the markets are guaranteed to tank. You CLAIM falsely that America knew this in Jan 1 but it was clear sometime in December. MORON.
