Ah yes thats the name i was after the CTTAG,but its the same thing,the nz name just stated the obvious "Counter Terrorist".Its still was a tactical assault group.

@WRH90059 Close buddy... Those guys are Aussie TAG East. There is no such thing in New Zealand. We used to have CTTAG (Counter Terrorism Counter Assault Group), but they have since morphed into Commando Squadron. All Members are taken from the Military and not the police and come under NZ SAS Group.
The police equivalent here in New Zealand is the STG (Special Tactics Group). They are police who have been Armed Offender Squad Members and who receive specialist training from the SAS Cadre.
