Gurudutt Trivedi and Nandita Raut are indebted to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of the Bandra Terminus of the Western Railway. For Trivedi would have to suffer a personal loss of Rs 14,500, while Raut would have to face the wrath of her superiors for the things they had lost in the train.
Trivedi who was traveling in AC coach of Bhavnagar Express on October 19, I misplaced his gold bracelet on the seat itself. I left from the station and when I reached home I suddenly realized that I dont have my bracelet, Trivedi said. He immediately searched the helpline number 23004000 over the Internet and called the helpline number that is based at the control room. Control room RPF man TN Swamy in turn informed the Bandra Terminus Assistant Sub Inspector Vinod Sharma, who along with constable Nivruti Patil went to the yard after receiving complaints from control room and personally checked the coach. Bandra Terminus RPF Inspector Dinesh Kanojia said, After checking the berth, he had occupied, my staff found the bracelet inside the pillow cover. We immediately called up Trivedi and handed over his bracelet after the formality. The 9.5-gram bracelet was worth Rs 14500.
