DONT WORRY!!IT WAS SET FREE, with a bit of canola oil, i don't know what this but a few of them keep coming in our garage. The only reason I kept it for a bit on there was to get a small clip, if you can identify what this is please tell me! I know that it is not a mouse because the tail is to small, they are kind've annoying I can here them making sound in the garage at around 2:00 in the morning

  • A definite shrew. Looks like a short-tail. These things -can- have a venemous bit, believe it or not - one of the few venemous rodents in the world. Check if they have black or red teeth - if so, you probably should kill them instead of letting them go. Though they do eat snakes, so if you have a bad snake problem, you might want to put up with them - they tend to be very good at avoiding people, so aren't a real problem unless they stop being afraid of you.

  • Cool. I also freed one I caught on a glue trap with oil like you said. And no, unlike another person said, it's not "retarded" to free it. It is best, of course, to free it far away from your home or else it'll likely come back.

  • ur retared setting it free i would have stepped on it

  • ooh u cought a shrew good they r poisonous seriously!

  • Yea looks like a type of mole or a shrew maybe.
