Paul Maynard MP for Blackpool North and Cleveleys discusses the topic of youth offenders in Westminster Hall.
Discussing prison reform, secure accommodation, young offenders institutions and youth justice courts Paul describes areas where the youth justice system is ineffective and may encourage re-offending.
Speaking about the conveyorbelt of crime, Paul recognises both the good work and the negatives existing in the current system. From rehabilitation and victims to sentencing, education, lifestyles and opportunities upon leaving prison Paul hopes to emphasise that both the community and the justice system play a role in preventing youth crime from occuring.
