The soundtrack to this video is one of the many victims of the falling out between Warner Music Group and Youtube. I re-posted a new version with non-WMG music here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNBiirGLrtI

This footage was shot with a Casio EX-F1 mostly at 300 frames per second (fps), although there are a couple of clips at 600fps and 1200fps. It is all close-up shots of flat ground skateboarding.

The music is Sentimental by Porcupine Tree and Eskimo by Damien Rice.

  • Nice video and nice tricks!

How is the format to capture the image with Casio, a secuence of images (jpgs) or is a video format (avi or mpg)?

I need to buy a camera with slow motion.

  • The video is recorded as a .mov video file with H.264/AVC encoding. It automatically plays back at 1/10 real-speed if you record in 300fps mode.

  • Many thanks!

How much memory needs to record this?

Did you need to buy additional memory?

I will ask Noel to give me a camera as yours.

  • It takes about 1.6MB/sec of record time. So the files are not that large. I use an 8GB memory card, and I've never filled it up. I can record all day.

  • what was that at 3:11 ???

  • No-comply 180

  • awesome video. Check out my slowmo vid

  • Absolutely brilliant. The grip tape on your board sparkles in the sun as though thousands of viewers are snapping photos of your poetry in motion. By the way, I, too, am an electrical engineer (UManitoba, 1996) and it is incredible to think that you studied one of the most challenging undergrad programs, practice as an engineer, and find time to be one of the best skaters I have ever seen. I can't say enough. And I also can't get enough of that Eskimo song.

  • nice maaannnn!!!! What board are you using?

  • why everyone stand regular...that sucks

  • the way u land them tricks made it soo heavenly. hahah

  • i love how the lil grains on the griptape sparkles when you do a trick
