This is a "video tour" of Marquette, Michigan, made for my friends downstate. It features most of the scenic highlights of the Marquette City area (though none of the downtown area).
Music clip at the end is from "Marquette, Mi" by Matt Sia.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Wife and I miss our NMU days and the start of our journey as young adults to now having 3 kids and living far from Marquette. Will always hold a special place in our hearts.
I was just up there a month ago, fished out of Presque Isle. Caught some lake trout, all about three to five pounds. Weather was great - mid 60s with sun and light wind.
So that thing is called the Superior Dome? It was a very visible landmark while out on the water (I was joking with my wife that it looked like a giant silicone implant).
Marquette is beautiful. I hope to make it back this summer. Thanks for posting this!
Real nice job on the video. I especially liked the shot showing the "enormity of Lake Superior" and, too, the thunderstorm at your house was neat, too.
Btw, if you'd care to put me in your will to take ownership of your house, in the event that something should happen to you, I'd be willing to discuss it.;)
the lake always warms up in august. and behind little presque theres 1 high spot and 1 low spot ( high being around 25-30, low being around 10 feet ) its a great place to escape from the sometimes 100's of people at black rocks. but nice video tour of marquette!

Upper Michigan is a lot prettier than lower Michigan.
