"'All' means 'all' only in the first half but not in the second half of romans 5:18" -- THAT is clearly the argument of the calvinist, and THAT is the very definition of eisegesis. because you MUST impose textual inference and redefinition into selected scriptures if the doctrines of "reformed theology" are to stand up against the clear and overwhelming teaching of the bible from genesis to revelation.
it's not about arminianism vs. calvinism - let the Word of God speak for Himself!

@luxlucis777 in context of Luke2:3, it's talking about all in the Roman world... it means that all under Rome did-- or rather more specifically, all in Judea.
Likewise, "All" in context of Rom 5 means all men. There is no other way to be consistent with the language in Romans 5, which uses the same "All" to talk of sinners and those for whom Christ died...

Rom 4:4 "Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due."

@tgillspy i would say prove it but I dont think you can
-
@rsoneill21 All calvinists have been fooled with false doctrine
-
@tgillspy because you were wrong???
-
@rsoneill21 ALL calvinists are stupid...
-
@tgillspy so then ALL are not justified then only the elect
If GOD had to wait around for people to "get it" and choose Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, no one would ever get saved. Romans 3:10

According to Mr. Anderson, "all" always means "every single one"?
So, Luke 2:3 (And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.) is saying that every single person on the planet traveled to Israel to take part in the census and be taxed? Of course not, that is ridiculous.
