@JazzBluesClassical42 -- hey thanks. its pretty simple. we open one or two violins each week, tune them and record a minute or two sound sample. no warmups. no practice, no second takes. we get about 4 or 5 minutes with each violin then they're returned to their cases (where most of them have been for many years).
