Balloons over Waikato 2008 - Whisky (N9029Q).

Pilot Murray Shaw pilots his balloon Whisky (N9029Q) down for a landing.

The goal was to stay in the air for more than 30 minutes and try and land as close as they could to the place they departed from as quick as they could after the allotted time in the air.

Mr Shaw and Crew came within 10-20 meters of his intended goal after being in the air some time.

Once they landed where ever it was they had to get an official time and place by getting a signature from anyone who witnessed them land.

The winner would be the pilot who kept their balloon up for the least amount of time after 30 minutes and who landed closest to the point they took off.
