@meatmeister hahahaha thats like my bird! he has a little green bowl in the corner of his cage that he eats from and one time he camoflaged himself in it when i tried to feed him fruit xD
-
how did you tame him ? my lovebird hates all of my treats and hides in a corner every time i open s the cadge...

@CLloyd310 hang in there and keep trying. your bird has not forgotten what it has learned.

My lovebird was really sweet and well trained until she hit "bird puberty"... now she won't let anyone near her without VERY aggresively biting them HARD.
Is there anything I can do to get her back to where she was before?

How did you tame your bird :).. ? i have two and am trying really hard, but the thing is i can't seem to find anything that they eagerly want to eat and work for.. seeds are the only thing and having them starve and work for food seems cruel. do you have any link on how to train parrots?

these things have a nasty bite

wow! you do a GOOD job in training and it shows you know how to.

Yes it's big, because the T-stand was meant for my conure. Will love to get one fitting T-stand for the lovebird, but sad to say I was only parrot-sitting the lovebird for 10 days. Just a short stay at our place =)

This isn't taming. This is training. Taming I would consider to be learned behavior that does not require the animal to exert energy. Allowing itself to be grabbed for instance is a matter of taming. It merely has to NOT resist rather than make an effort to make something happen. I consider a trick to be a natural or unnatural behavior that has an unnatural stimulus that consistently triggers the behavior. You trained the parrot some tricks which is great. No point in underrating it as taming.

Hi Mike, thanks for clarifying the difference btw Taming and Training. Really appreciate that you shared it over here. First, I guess I had to apologize about the misleading title. Probably I shld have provided more description earlier. This video actually clearly show that the lovebird (Teri) being able to be handled and even perform simple trick. It was all possible after 10-days of hand-taming and parrot training him. Do click on the link to read more abt the story.
