Way to go Ten Danson, massive respect! Too many people just don't give a shit, or live on in ignorance regarding the road humanity is taking as a whole.
-
Too many humans. Lets try imposing birth control for a few years world wide, then reinstate birth and only two children per couple, not TEN! Oh but the corporations and big business wouldn't like that because more people means more money. Right. I forgot...how silly of me.

Why do they assume that just because the fish left the Grand Banks almost every fishing area in the world is doomed?

He does a very good job at reading off the teleprompter here. A shame Ted Danson doesn't know anything about fish populations. I wonder if he has ever been out on a vessel ? Kind of funny, personal agenda hiring movie stars to spread their false data and agenda to an audience who looks up to movie stars. Brilliant tactics, shameful though !

pa3sch, im glad you mentioned pollution, you have no idea. We have been shut down on our river herring fishery due to pollution in our rivers where these fish spawn !
-
Everyone always mentions the cod, one specie of fish and its not even apparent that overfishing was this fish's demise. pa3sCH, you mentioned conversing with members of NOAA on overfishing, funny how this agency has not intention of recovering fish stocks. Their sole agenda is to eliminate the comm. fisherman and unjustly implant unrealistic fines to drive us to extinction. Dale Jones is being investigated for these acts, not allegations, this will shed some light on what fisherman have said !
-
You said that juvenile fish swim free. What about cod which for instance become full size 2 years before it begins to reproduce? These fish would therefore not swin freely through the net and also not be able to repopulate its species.
-
Get real.... its absolutely impossible to catch the last fish in the sea. A multi million dollar fishing vessel - with all the expences running such a ship incurs would have went bankrupt years before that ever happened. How these guys on this documentary can look the camera in the eye and tell us the seas are going to be extinct in 30 years beggers belief. They want to get a job in the circus... they could use a few more clowns!
-
Combine over-fishing with pollution and toxification, many juvenile fish do not make it to adulthood, even if you throw them back in the water, something else will do them in.
-
Just because you are not seeing a decline in your yield for over 15 years, does not mean over-fishing is not happening. There are numerous species to consider and in this topic and their decline will eventually affect the numbers of the ones that you believe are not being affected in the last 15 years or so.
Ted Danson is the man!!!

@Low Budget Studios & MaSSiVe0101, If you watch the movie instead of making comments on a clip, you might discover no one said to stop eating fish. They are advising we know where our fish came from, how it was fished & not to eat the species that are imminently endangered. The impact on marine life is a huge overpopulation of jellyfish & will have a profound implication of a future world with no fish. It is ignorance like this that got our world to where it is today & will someday finish it.
