Er, I think that bearded guy you might be referreing to is very probably Mr Fingal Selzer, who is known to be a hang over stand in for professor Schickele.
Mr Selzer is known however, for being one of the few still living, singing the nowadays rather forgotten voice of Alto Castrato.
