  • 2:05 Its JAMIE FOX!!!

  • @davidemerling Nowadays, the Senior Enlisted do not see it that way. Some are great mentors that greatly benefit the development of Midshipmen, but others seem to just be jerks.

  • @AdaytorememberKSE It's called the Merchant Marine Academy, and from there you can graduate and be commissioned into any of the 4 services or become a civilian merchant marine... meaning you would work for merchant ships in the civilian sector. Not only did I 'do my research,' I am not a kid- or your son. I'm a Naval Officer.

  • @tambourDOM I know, I attended and graduated from USNA this past May.

  • @TheDuhgreat I graduated from the Naval Academy in '79 and there was no such thing as "Senior Enlisted" assigned to the companies who told the midshipmen what to do. It was rare to see ANY enlisted personnel in the Yard. And, they certainly didn't yell at upperclass midshipmen during ANY kind of summer training. It's really kind of an awkward relationship. The enlisted have the experience yet the midshipmen have the rank. (Technically, a midshipman outranks all enlisted personnel.)

  • @tambourDOM yes thank you marines is a subdevision within the navy. thats why they show marines trianing

  • @cmprice11 Yes do some research kid, marine military academy son.

  • @AdaytorememberKSE You probably mean merchant marine?

  • @cmprice11 Marine Corps falls under the Dept of Navy and so midn from USNA can be commissioned as officers in the Marine Corps (if they select to be one and are selected to be one). So technically you can say the Naval Academy is a service academy for the Marine Corps.

  • @cmprice11 I think he means a military high school program, like ROTC but for the summer
