My rendition of The Poet Acts by Philip Glass.

I decided to through up a video of me playing piano, since a lot of people ask me to play. I'm no professional piano player...so easy with the critique.

Have fun, enjoy, hope you like the performance.

Philip Glass is one of my favorite composers, his Kundun Soundtrack is my favorite. Enjoy!

  • @gregoriodavila I like to focus on my thumb in my right hand, and bring those quarters up and down, in feeling, so the emphasis of the right hand is not just the triplets.

  • @gregoriodavila Thank you for the comment! I believe the key to Philip's piano pieces, especially in this song, is the layering of each instrument. If you listen to the orchestral version, everything interweaves, the quarter notes in the cellos/violas, the whole notes of the basses. So to practice it, you have to work on being able to separate your fingers and control the dynamics of each finger. Heavy stuff...I saw your piano video---very good! Keep up the good work.

  • Sounds nice. I saw another on here but it was way to fast. I try to play this but it always sounds awkward. I end up just arpeggiating my right hand so it sounds soother
