Linseed oil is used in paint for centuries it's true, but not in it's raw form. It was mostly avoided as it came out of the press for the good reason it tends to turn into a yellowish substance with time and it acidifies the paint film. Get yourself some standoil, sun tickened linseed oil or use a ready made paint medium instead of the raw linseed oil. Raw linseed oil is good as a fill ingredient for tubes of oil paint or to ease the grinding of pigments if you want to do it yourself.

hi there, i just saw your video, i'm not entirely sure how you mix the linseed oil with the oil paints? i am aware that painters do this.. and apparently a 'yellowish' effect appears on canvas or sumthing.. how do you overcome that?

Note that all of these materials including other artist used preparations can be bought at your local hardware store. Beware Art stores that will charge a mint for these same common essentials
