Nobody ever thought something could happen to one of the most powerful stations in the world. The most reliable and Eco-friendly object which could serve forever. What happened one day? Looked like a nightmare or a Hollywood blockbuster - but it was reality. What led to this catastrophe? And what this catastrophe can lead to?

  • Amazing Documentary!

Our sorrows for those brave workers and engineers who lost their lives. And our condemned towards the the lying fraud reporter Mikhail Afanasyev who mocked and lied about the brave efforts the rescue workers had done.

  • hahaha, that stupid ass reporter needs beaten like that daily for the wrest of his life.

  • @indiasucksalways: you mean like the 1976 Teton dam collapse in 1976 in Idaho or the 1928 San Francisquito dam collapse outside Los Angeles or the Tacoma Narrows bridge collapse in 1941 or 3 Mile Island disaster in 1979 or or the bridge viaduct collapse in Minneapolis in 2007 or the gas pipeline explosion in California last September or BP oil spill last year?

You mean like those kind of failures that "didn't happen in america"?

    STUPID FUCK.

  • Quality control is still obviously a problem with Communist era projects.

My thoughts are with those who died and those who lost family members.

  • HOW VERY SAD! WHY do people IGNORE vibrations like that?? They KNEW there was something wrong, but just kept running it anyway! The guy who was in charge should be JAILED for LIFE for ignoring the problem & running it anyway!!! This COULD have been avoided! My sincerest condolences for the families of the 74 victims...may God be with them & ALL YOU EMPLOYEES AT THIS PLANT BETTER STOP the generators if they EVER start vibrating again!!! OR YOU will be responsible for the lives LOST!!

  • @indiasucksalways

That's very rude of you 75 people died and all you can say is 'typical Russian engineering'? do you even know anything about Russian Engineering? as for failures in America, what about the Teton Dam In Idaho? Just because no dams failed in the area you live, doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

  • Cudos to all those who stood their posts and refused to run, even in the face of death.

  • Typical Russian engineering. I dont see these kinds of failures in 'stupid' America which has the best economy in the world.

  • Uhhh ? non predictable the whole plant was shaking because the turbine was loose

  • alex needs a raise
