  • Any assistance by the BRICS to the EU should very conditional: total removal of agricultural subsidies and dismantling of industrial tariffs. Subsidies have helped collapse EU and protecting grandfather industries will further limit growth. Abolish them and then BRICS can assist.

  • Subsidies in developed countries helped give more bonuses to the crooks instead of helped their economy. In overall, these were not terrible discrimination toward developing countries in terms of fair trade. If only those funds had been directed toward a new global reserve fund as suggested by Prof. Stiglitz, at least we would know if the proposed fund worked.
