We found a great Prowler challenge created by Joe DeFranco, owner and founder of DeFranco Training Systems. In this challenge, each athlete performs a total of 6 Prowler sprints, alternating between high handles and low handles (3 sprints on each). Each sprint is started on the minute, so the clock is constantly running. If an athlete gets the first sprint done in 12 seconds, he gets 48 seconds of rest. If he finishes the 2nd sprint in 15 seconds he gets only 45 seconds. So as you can see, the more tired the athlete gets, the less rest he receives, making this challenge very difficult! It takes a total of just over 5 minutes, but as you can see in the video, this is a great finisher on a lower body day and really helps to improve overall conditioning! (www.phelpstraining.com)
how far is each sprint?
