Thanks for posting. I have ordered the 2010 - identical to yours. The seat looks fantastic. Did you need an additional bracket? I like the light cover on the front fender as well. Nice touch. I am curious wether you lowered the front and rear - or just the rear. Please list specifics (including parts) of your lowering process. Thanks again.
You just have to bolt it on the rear fender, very easy, it doesn't take long.
The seat height is about 1" lower than standard and more narrow in the front
51525-09H-D Brawler Seat
If you are going to ride with the standard seat for a while you should put something between the seat and the rear fender, the seat scratches the paint very easy, I lowered both ends, I think a little bit more than 1". it's not much, but my floorboard touch the ground a lot.
The (street glide) suspension is rock hard, combined with the seat, 17" wheels & new frame, it doesn't really help making it a soft motorcycle, but it's about 2" lower than the standard height. this really helps when you are under 6 feet tall.
my previous bike had Progressive Suspension and wasn't that much harder than this one.
I have an 2010 FLHR and wanted to put on white walls but Dunlop dont make a 17" tire with white walls. How did you do that? I think it looks great! Just what I want.
i painted them myself

i didn't remove the wheels, just papertape and a brush.
and a lot of patience
