  • Awesome!! thanks for this video. Question? you sprayed the adhesive on the fabric and such. Do you have to wait for it to dry thoroughly before you run it through the big shot? would it ruin the die if the fabric adhesive ruin the die? Just wondering I am a worry wort when it comes to my craft stuff. LOL

I enjoy ur videos very much...

    Thanks.

  • I haven't had any trouble with it so far...but waiting may be a good choice.

  • Can I make a suggestion? As a quilter, I find it much easier to quilt shaped projects like this by using a darning foot (it replaces the foot you have now - it's shaped sort of like a smooth donut) with the feed dogs (those "teeth" that move fabric forward) dropped (check your manual). If you have a friend who has a darning foot, give it a try. I think they are about $12 (Canadian), and totally worth it because then you don't have to stop and start over and over. Anyways, just a tip!

  • thank you, I'll try that.

  • Goof Off? It's an adhesive remover. They have a low odor one. Cool video by the way! :-)

  • thank you :)

  • I love your videos.

  • I enjoyed this instructional very much. I will be some of these with my daughters. Thank you.

  • This is awesome! I am a fan of yours, your projects are wonderful but I absolutely love listening to you talk!!

Question - why is it so important to use the card stock when you cut in the Big Shot? I don't own one, nor do I really want to - love my Cuttlebug - but I was just curious why you need the card stock.

  • try lighter fluid to get the adhesive off

  • Angie,

I love it! I know I saw the blog about this video, but I forgot about it until today! I LOVE these flowers!! And the purses on your blog! You have me really wanting to do this! I've got to get these dies!

    Thanks so much!

  • It serves as a shim to make sure there is sufficient thickness for the pressure to be enough for the blades to cut all the way through the fabrics! You can use a thin piece of chip board too, if yours is still not cutting all the way through.

  • love this. I'm kind of new to quilting too. I love how enthusiastic you are about this. Thanks so much for showing us

  • it helps cut through the material better with cardstock

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!!! I'll be heading to the craft store in a few minutes.

Quick question..... why do you need the piece of cardstock when running it through the big shot?
