• What is the LightSaver™ EDI?
The LightSaver L-100 Emergency Doorway Identifier (EDI)... is a brand new advance in fire-safety protection for the home, office.... or, just about anywhere. Our EDI's are inexpensive, easy to install and are designed to provide your family, students, staff, patients and personnel with the critical escape information that they need exactly when & exactly where they need it........when fire strikes!

• IT'S A UNIQUE SMALL & VERY INCONSPICUOUS VISUAL ALARM.
"Its so inconspicuous, you don't even know its there..... Until You Need It."© LightSaver's patent-protected sophisticated technology is powered by a 9 volt battery and constantly listens to detect the sound of a smoke detectors alarm. When triggered by a smoke detector's alarm sound, it's clear-jacket tiny (50/1000 of an inch in diameter) LightSaver Light-Strands™ immediately illuminate the exit doorway and baseboard areas on both sides of that door with a bright pulsating light which happens to be the easiest color for the human eye to detect. Light the entirety of the universally recognized shape of the doorway is allows the L-100 EDI to be immediately recognized by all and attracts the occupant to the exit without thought or hesitation in a fire crisis. It's a Tiny Device with a Gigantic Light Output.

• IT LIGHTS ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR; WELL BELOW THE LINE OF SMOKE.
The generous lengths of our LightSaver Light-Strand™ design provides very bright emergency light that COMPLETELY OUTLINES THE ENTIRE DOOR and runs along the baseboards on both sides adjacent to that doorway. As smoke fills a space (from the ceiling down) the very last thing that an evacuee can still see is the LightSaver's powerful emergency pulse light identifying the escape exit. NO OTHER device delivers this safety advantage.

• IT'S THERE... WORKING.... LONG BEFORE FIRST-RESPONDERS CAN ARRIVE.
LightSaver provides all occupants of structures with an ever-present always-ready source of life-saving exit demarcation. The LightSaver is already there clearly highlighting the exits... during those "critical moments BEFORE firefighters can arrive at the scene."

• IT AIDS FIRST-RESPONDERS IN A CRISIS TOO.
When first-responders arrive at a structure fire, chances are that they have little to no knowledge about how to navigate through the space. The L-100 can provide all emergency professionals with the critical visual escape demarcation; when and where they need it most.

• IT'S PROUDLY MADE IN AMERICA.
Unlike many others in our industry who off-shore their manufacturing and their jobs, we proudly manufacture our devices in America and are committed to creating American jobs and employing American workers.

  • This is a really awesome device, I really like it.!

  • this is a really good device, I like it.!

  • In thinking about it further, also consider that this LightSaver Light-Strand is not only around the doorway, but also runs a few inches just above floor level; well below the line of smoke as it moves toward the floor. Think about it, if you're caught in that smoky space, what good does an audible smoke alarm do you? The LightSaver provides VISUAL EXIT INFORMATION all the way down to the floor and along the floor on BOTH sides of a discharge; its brilliant. Even strobes can't do that.

  • Agreed; everyone should have an escape plan and should practice it regularly. The key to the LightSaver is that it is activated and working long BEFORE first responders arrive. In illuminating the entire universally recognized shape of the exit discharge and the nearby floor areas, it sends visual information to evacuees in the critical moments before help can physically be in the residence.... Not to mention that first responders entering the unfamiliar structure might benefit from it as well.

  • The problem with this product is that smoke in a room prevents good visibility. Everyone should practice a Home Escape Plan, in the dark, with their eyes closed. I have been to too many fires where visibility inside the house was less than 18 inches.

  • this really will save lives!!

  • yay this thing looks pretty awesome

  • Smoke detectors make a person aware of fire, Lightsaver shows them how to get out quickly!
