A Disharmony of the gospels. We look at the differences in the gospels (primarily Matthew and John) and again note that not everything in the Bible is written to us.

We note the absence of the Lord's Supper from John and the connection of the Lord's Supper to the Passover and to the Old Covenant.

Each command, promise and prophesy must be understood in its time, place and purpose as well as to whom each is directed (see Lesson 1 for for information of this aspect of the message).

Suggested reading: Jeremiah 31.

I think I've worked out the in-focus / out-of-focus thing too!

  • thanks for finding the manual button

  • Ha! I finally got annoyed myself and figured out how to mend it. Thanks again.:)

  • I hope to have a new entry on reading the New Covenant in context. Thanks for asking!

I've been busy finishing a book (an allegory) on the subject of individually searching for truth.

We can't go through life with someone else's convictions! They must be our own :)

  • The Christian faith grew like wildfire because thousands saw and heard Christ preach. Over 500 saw the risen Christ. Tens of thousands were willing to give up their religion to follow the teachings of Christ even in the face of death because Christ died was placed in the tomb and rose from the tomb. People saw his death and him resurrected. That's kwhy the faith grew like wildfire. Christ rose from the dead and people saw him afterwards. All anyone has to do is ask for forgiveness. Pretty easy.

  • Here's a topic for ya. Try to disprove the resurrection. I don't think it can be done. Guards facing death if the body is stolen. disciles hiding in fear. tens of thousands of people turning from their jewish faith to start christianity. Why? Because Christ rose and over 500 hundred saw the risen Jesus. Disciples now go out in the face of death and boldy preach the good news. Sual even gave up a good paying government job he loved, killing christians to preach. Disprove the resurrection. can't !
