A debtor filing bankruptcy must appear at the Meeting of Creditors (341 Meeting) which will be conducted by the bankruptcy trustee. At the meeting the bankruptcy trustee will verify the debtor's identity, certificate of credit counseling, the accuracy of information filed with the court and may ask questions about the debtor's most recent tax return (which must be filed with the court before the meeting). Creditors at the meeting are allowed to ask questions about the debtor's income, assets and property securing the debt. They may also ask the debtor if they plan to keep the property and if so, how they plan to pay for the property.

This video reveals what happens during a meeting of creditors (341 meeting).
